Rancho Valencia partners with the Helen Woodward Animal Center for National Dog Month

In honor of National Dog Month (August) and National Dog Day (August 26), Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa in Rancho Santa Fe has partnered with Helen Woodward Animal Center on August 28 to allow guests and locals to meet adorable, adoptable puppies for potential adoption and educate about how Helen Woodward supports the local pet community at her Puppy Pop-Up event. Additionally, Rancho Valencia donated all pet fees for resort guests throughout August ($250 per pet) to Helen Woodward Animal Center, according to a press release.

“The pandemic has been particularly difficult for animal rescues, and now that many people are back on the job, we are seeing an influx of animals being sent back to already overwhelmed shelters. Many shelters across the United States are at capacity and then have to euthanize pets to make room. This partnership is significant because as a community partner and dog-friendly hotel, Rancho Valencia helps us rescue more orphaned animals and raise awareness of pet adoption,” said Eva Lagudi-Devereux, Head of special events Helen Woodward in the press release. .
