Xoran VetCAT 3D CT Imaging Implemented at Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital | State

ANN ARBOUR, Mich., December 3, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Xoran Technologies announces that the first VetCAT IQ was installed in an exotic animal hospital only. Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital, serving Chicago and the surroundings Illinois domain, chose to implement the new VetCAT IQ as it provides both the bone and tissue imaging capabilities needed by the avian and exotic patient population.

“…we will improve our ability to properly diagnose and treat each animal,” Susan HortonDVM, Chicago Exotics

The VetCAT IQ—part of Xoran’s suite of veterinary products—is a compact, truly mobile 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) system that brings imaging directly to the patient. Thanks to the advanced visualization capabilities of Xoran software, veterinary specialists can diagnose and plan treatment in real time, directly on the hospital site. Currently, VetCAT IQ is used by veterinary dental specialists and ophthalmologists to visualize the anatomy of the head, teeth, sinuses, eyes and brain.

“With the addition of the VetCAT IQ in our clinic, we will help improve the lives of our most delicate creatures and dramatically improve our ability to properly diagnose and treat every animal, not just the dog and cat community,” says Susan Horton, DVM, owner of Chicago Exotics. “The compactness of the VetCAT IQ is also a bonus. I was able to easily fit it into my imaging room floor plan.”

With the introduction of VetCAT IQ in an exotics-only clinic, Chicago Exotics brings high-resolution 3D imaging capability to exotic animals of all kinds. Pets can be imaged in a quick, painless scan, and image results can be reviewed immediately by the clinician and family.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Dr. Horton and the staff of Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital to the Xoran family,” said David Sarment, DDS, President of Xoran and Head of Xoran’s Veterinary Division. “This hospital joins an extensive network of dental specialists, dermatologists, ophthalmologists and general practitioners across the United States and Canada. We are excited to see the diagnostic images that Dr. Horton can use to further improve the care of his patients. »
