We look forward to a successful partnership with PAC, and the impact it will have on improving the lives of the many dogs and cats in the greater Philadelphia area.

PAC’s veterinary team will hit the road twice a week with this new vehicle with the aim of performing 200 mobile surgeries each month. On Mondays, the van will be parked at ACCT Philly to provide free neutering and neutering surgeries to ACCT pets, in an effort to prepare them for adoption. On Thursdays, the mobile surgery unit will be stationed at Pet Supplies Plus in Woodlyn.

“We are very excited about the Fido Fixers program,” says Sarah Barnett, Acting Co-Executive Director of ACCT Philly. “The services provided will help both the animals currently in our shelter and prevent others from ending up at the shelter by providing low cost services to the community. At a time when space is critical and there is a shortage of veterinarians, this will help fill one of the many gaps that contribute to bringing animals to the shelter.

In addition to providing free spaying and neutering surgeries, thanks to a grant from Spring Point, PAC’s medical team also provides specialized care to other ACCT dogs and cats in need, accelerating their adoption opportunities. at the Philly shelter.
