Long Beach Animal Care Services Joins NBCUniversal Local’s “Clear the Shelters”

August Pet Adoption and Donation Campaign

Long Beach, Calif. – Long BeachAnimal Care Services (LBACS) has joined NBCUniversal Local’s 2022 Clear The Shelters Pet Donation and Adoption Campaign, which runs through August 31, 2022, hosting special pet donation throughout the month and encouraging residents to get involved.

“Events like this provide our community with the opportunity to support animal welfare by adopting, fostering or donating,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “We are proud to partner with NBCUniversal and be part of this important campaign.”

To encourage responsible and conscious adoption of animals in need of homes, LBACS offers adoption promotions that include a $25 adoption fee for adult pets 7 months and older and no adoption fee for long-stay animals (more than 90 days) and rabbits. Those interested in adopting can visit LBACS (7700 E. Spring St.) Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Potential adopters can also search for adoptable animals in the shelter by breed, gender and size, then apply online. Residents can also get involved by donating money, promoting, volunteering, donating supplies and spreading the word about adoptable animals on social media on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
