Help clean the shelters with Bluebonnet Animal Hospital

Every year we ask our community to help us clean the shelters. Bluebonnet Animal Hospital is a proud partner in helping us find forever pets. They are also a great resource for new pet parents to keep loved ones happy and healthy.

Neil Leinen, CVPM, Director of Operations at Bluebonnet Animal Hospital, joined Studio 512 co-host Rosie Newberry to tell us more.

There are plenty of vets in Austin. What makes Bluebonnet unique?

“We are locally owned and operated, as well as women and veterans. We offer a free first exam to newly adopted animals. We have three locations to serve our community and our South Lamar location is open seven days a week!

What should a new pet parent do before and after adopting a pet?

“Before, they should do some research, including which pet would be best suited to their lifestyle. Then it’s very important to take your pet to the vet for a thorough physical exam.

You have multiple locations in Austin. Where can people find you?

“South Lamar, Oltorf and West Slaughter Lane.”
