Flamingo Road Animal Hospital celebrates its first anniversary!

It is hard to believe that we are celebrating our first year of service in our beloved community of Miramar.

When we decided to open our Animal Hospital, we never imagined that our dream would be challenged by a monumental obstacle: the worst global pandemic of modern times!
We never thought life as we knew it would come to an abrupt end and all those things we took for granted, like going to a permit agency to get our business signed up, getting our address on Google Maps, doing advertising for our company, even having a grand opening! Would become incredible obstacles.

As a new animal hospital, we had to revise our protocols for welcoming pet parents into our lobby in a safe manner and ensure we are following county mandates to keep everyone safe. After all, pets don’t come to the vet. In these troubled times, we also needed to allow humility, kindness and respect to be our banner so that we could compensate the already stressed public who so desperately needed care for their furry (or scaly) family members. ), while protecting our team from COVID-19[FEMININE[FEMININE

Today, we’re not off the hook yet, but we’ve managed to carve out a little niche for ourselves in the neighborhood as nocturnal sentinels of pets. We are available after work, after school and hopefully soon we will start to see the practice crowd after football, soccer, joy etc. We’re here for everything from nail clippings to vaccinations, we’re also here for emergency care and emergency surgeries. We are here to care for animals that have had surgery at their veterinarian’s office but are not yet ready to go home. We hold a special place in our hearts for rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, lizards and turtles of all kinds. Soon we hope to add more daylight hours to accommodate elective surgeries.

We face the future with faith and optimism that our world will heal and we will return to enjoy our families and our beloved pets and be better for having endured. In the meantime, we will continue to keep the night for your pets.
