Dr. Brad Ochstein announces retirement from Island Animal Hospital

Dr. Brad Ochstein

It has been my great privilege and pleasure to help care for the pets of Palm Beach since Island Animal Hospital opened in 1995.

I have been blessed with an amazing team of professionals to help me with this endeavor, and I am very proud of all of the team members who have come through Island Animal Hospital over the years. Each has helped create a truly special practice, focused on first-rate medical care and sincere, compassionate customer service.

As team members have come and gone over the years, moving through the next stages of their lives, the time has come for me to do the same.

As I retire from practice and look to new adventures, I am thrilled to know that I am leaving Island Animal Hospital in good hands. While most of our local colleagues have sold to large corporations, I am happy to report that Island Animal Hospital will continue to be an independent, locally owned and operated practice. The owner will be on site, tending to your pets, rather than sitting in a conference room in a remote state.

Dr. Mary Ellen Scully has been the heart and soul of this practice for many years, and it is with great pleasure and pride that I pass ownership to her. You couldn’t ask for a more caring and knowledgeable vet.

Island Animal Hospital veterinarian Mary Ellen Scully is introduced in 2011. She will become the practice owner.

I would like to thank all of the pet owners who have trusted me with the care of your furry family members over the years. I am confident that they will continue to receive the excellent level of care that you have come to expect from us.

My sincere thanks,

Brad Ochstein, DVM
