County approves bond for animal care center | New

SEVIERVILLE — The Sevier County Commission moved forward Monday with plans for a new home for the Sevier Animal Care Center, approving a $2.3 million bond issue to pay for construction of the facility on the freeway Old Knoxville.

Sevier County joined the cities of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in establishing the animal care center in 2018, after ending agreements with nonprofit organizations to provide animal control services.
