Bluebonnet Animal Hospital & Riverside Vet ‘Pet of the Week’: Meet Champ, from the Austin Animal Center!

Austin Animal Center is featured championa beautiful 7 year old puppy who is ready to find his forever home!

AAC’s Stephanie McCutcheon says, “We’re not sure why this guy is still with us: yes, he’s a little stoic around new people, but after a few meetings this pup is showing his true personality. Hint: This is the craziest, happiest, silliest thing you’ve ever seen.

“Champ came to see us wandering around so we don’t know much about how this gentleman spent the first 4 years of his life, but this last year has shown that he only gets better with time. age (and comfort level).

“His perfect day with his new family would look like this:

  1. Wake up: time for serious hugs! And, let’s keep those coming all day, please.
  1. Fancy a hike? He’s your favorite man! Its medium pace is perfect for working up a sweat, or it’s also perfectly happy to slow down a bit to enjoy the scenes.
  1. Champ loves car rides and, let’s not forget a quick dip in a puppy pool in this perfectly warm weather we are having.
  1. Time to relax? No problem! Bully sticks, crunchy toys, you name it Champ can entertain with fun.

“Basically, this champion dog does everything with radiant enthusiasm and a cheerful smile.

“Champ lived with other respectful dogs at the shelter but has been in a solo kennel for a few months now. A meeting with a resident pup would be necessary.

“He would also need a quiet place to retreat to for a solo while at first – slow intros are always a win in our book! Champ can live with respectful children (10+ please).
