Bluebonnet Animal Hospital & Riverside Vet ‘Pet of the Week’: Austin Animal Center’s Helen

To encounter Helen from the Austin Animal Center! Perfect size, 60 pounds and only 2 years young! Helen went to an offsite event last weekend and stole the show! She behaved so well with everyone she met!

If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, playful girl, look no further! Helen is an absolute gem that is sure to brighten anyone’s day. Helen loves to be scratched and will bend over you to get as close to it as possible. If you’re busy and can’t give her pets, no worries, she’s very happy to chew her bones or play with toys for entertainment.

She went to off-site events where she was incredibly nice to the kids, letting them pet her everywhere and even trying to get on their lap. She is not afraid of loud noises or the presence of many people. In fact, it seems Helen has never met a stranger, male or female, as she greets everyone she meets by wagging her tail. Helen knows how to sit and seems to be very house trained. She is eager to learn, especially when it comes to delicious treats.

She’s also a good co-driver in the car, choosing to lay down or stare out the window. Helen has also participated in playgroups at the shelter and may be a candidate to live with other dogs. Come meet this sweet girl today!
